This article brings reflections and suggestions for music education amidst the Covid-19 pandemic period. The text provides a brief overview of the measures adopted by the health authorities, their consequences in the field of education, culminating in the concept of emergency remote teaching and its specificities in the music teaching, addressing the following aspects: the need for a conceptual change of musical educators seeking recognition and validation of musical practices generated by the participatory digital culture; an observation of the realities and contexts applicable to teaching performance, in particular, the consideration of socio-economic factors that allow the coherent development of remote musical teaching-learning activities; the recognition of professional collaborative network's importance for the dissemination and sharing of pedagogical-musical practices consistent with the remote emergency teaching of music. The thoughts and proposals presented have a transitory and emergency character but exclude their relevance without returning to face-to-face classes.
