Abstract

This article explores speculative possibilities that the encounter between fine arts, dance and literature can trigger. It aims to think about artistic production in its diversity and in tension with expressive and mimetic theories of art. It is intended, especially considering the encounter with the drawing of Marcia de Moraes, the dance of Juliana Moraes and the writing of Clarice Lispector, to confront the theory of the humanizing function of literature elaborated by Antonio Candido. In problematizing the very idea of humanization, the reading of Clarice Lispector's book A paixão segundo G.H. becomes crucial.
