This article has the objective to present the work developed by the Núcleo de Estudos em Improvisação em Dança – NEID, attached to the Dance college course of Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. We propose to discuss dance improvisation notions and real time composition which had been the basis to the research developed by this group, reflecting about improvisation as instant composition, which happens in the construction of the scene itself. Therefore, besides talking about the conceptual discussions that support the dance improvisation studies on NEID, we seek to present the artistical works developed over the last years: Corpos (In)Dóceis, that emerged from the meeting with the artist Paulo Soares Augusto, and Soma – Variações sobre o Sensível, result of the sheared research with the Núcleo de Música e Tecnologia da UFU - NUMUT. We hope, in the end, that the discussions about the compositive processes of the improvised scene can be the starting point to expand the discussions around the dance improvisation.
