Abstract

We discuss single-parent families headed by women as a historical event through oral histories with 12 women in Parana. We consider reports in the path between the macro sphere of thoughts about single parent families and the life histories and private space. Women/mothers in single-parent families talk histories about challenges in motherhood, despite moments of satisfaction and affection.
