GENDER RELATIONS, SEXUALITIES, IDENTITIES AND POWER IN CONTEMPORANY BRAZIL

This article is the result of a sum of dissemination initiated at the Thematic Symposium - Gender Relations, Sexualities, Identity and Power in Contemporary Brazil held at the V ENGTEG - National Meeting of the Gender Studies WG of ANPUH/Brazil. Betting on the dialogue raised by authors and authors in their research communications, this text departs from the historiographical themes and debates that touch the formation of Contemporary Brazil from the issues of gender and sexuality. For this task, texts published in the Annals of the event were mobilized, as well as dialogue with specialized historiography. In this sense, the article was developed in three topics: The first discusses the panorama of recent Brazil and the historical inflection of authoritarianism, in the second topic neoliberalism and the condition of women and the LGBTQI+ population are located and in the third topic the issues are discussed of the flowering of a counter-current movement.
