Helena de Aragão (1880-1961) was a writer, translator, journalist and director of several women's magazines published in Portugal during the first half of the 20th century, namely Modas & Bordados, Eva and Fémina. She was also published a book and a brochure on cooking. This paper seeks to understand the relationship between cooking columns in women's magazines and the publication of cookbooks.
