“Honor and virginity” taken
gender relations and criminal legal culture in cases of rape (Curitiba, 1771-1783)

This research concerns two cases of rape in the village of Curitiba processed by the juízo ordinário and by the ouvidoria de Paranaguá in the second half of the 18th century. The main objective is to bring to light women's trajectories, social strategies and the local criminal legal culture.
