Abstract

This review intends to to analyze, and, at the same time, present to readers the recent translation into Portuguese of the book "Una donna può tutto. 1941: volano le Streghe della notte" (original), by the Italian journalist and writer Ritanna Armeni. In Brazil, the work received the title of: "As Bruxas da Noite: a história não contada do regimento aéreo feminino russo durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial" ("The Night Witches: the untold story of the Russian women's air regiment during World War II" - in a loose translation), and was edited and published by Editora Seoman, from Grupo Editorial Pensamento. In addition to the war scene, the work addresses gender issues, such as misogyny and sorority.
