Abstract

We aim at investigating, in the album “Diana (1978)”, meaning effects in the discursive construction of “a new woman”, having Feminist Theories and Discourse Analysis as theoretical support. In the lyrics, the discursive subject presents displacements, indicating a bold woman who is less in conformity with patriarchal society.
