Abstract

The article addresses the medicalization of childbirth from the perspective of materialist feminism. At the end, women's reports are brought about their pregnancy-puerperal cycle. The medicalization of childbirth has its existence and perpetuation in the materiality of the female body and must be analyzed in the context of female oppression.
