Abstract

The Portuguese and European demography of the modern age is developed to the point where we can establish standards and find similarities and peculiarities in various regions. This article aims to understand whether the parish of Serpins falls into these patterns, namely the nuptiality rhythms, during the reign of D. José I (1750-1777).
