Feminist and LGBT social movements in Brazil tackling repression and obscurantism twice: an “inferior struggle”?

Abstract

In Brazil, LGBT and feminist movements has been considered as an “inferior struggle” by some left discourses in the period of military dictatorship (1964-1985) and also today? Such question moves the analysis through which we think about a possible relation established by left critical discourses towards some particular groups, concerning to their identitarian agenda, reiterated in two different moments of History, both recognized by repression to marginalized populations and withdrawal of social rights.
