Congregation of the Sisters of the Precious Blood: reflections on social, educational, evangelization and health actions in the municipalities of the state of Pará, Brazil (1938 to 1970)

Abstract
The article aims to reflect on the history of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Precious Blood due to its social, educational, evangelization and health actions in the municipalities of the State of Pará in the period from 1938 to 1970. For this, documentary research was used, through the analysis of the Preciosinas Menu (1938-1941) and the Constitution of the Congregation of the Most Precious Blood (2019-2023). The analysis perspective is based on cultural history with a focus on the cultural practices developed by this congregation. The results point to the history of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Precious Blood as a female religious congregation. It was born in Italy and spread to other countries, including Brazil, with emphasis on its expansion in the municipalities of the State of Pará.
