FORMAÇÃO SOCIAL E TERRITORIAL DO BRASIL:
ELABORAÇÃO DE MATERIAL DIDÁTICO PARA O ENSINO DE GEOGRAFIA E EDUCAÇÃO DAS RELAÇÕES ÉTNICO-RACIAIS
Abstract
The article presented is part of the master's research carried out in the Postgraduate Program in Geography at the Federal University of Mato Grosso. Presents elaboration and application of the didactic material entitled “Social and Territorial Formation of Brazil”, a board game thought and developed to expand and enrich the debate on the education of ethnic-racial relations in the teaching of geography. This game was applied in two seventh year classes, one with a formal quilombola school, located in the rural area of the municipality of Nossa Senhora do Livramento, and another with a regular formal school, located in the urban perimeter of the municipality of Cuiabá, State of Mato Grosso. It was possible to identify the relevance of students' social experiences in the teaching and learning process, the presence of different school realities, social violence suffered, and the need to develop geographic knowledge to consolidate a methodological path for teaching Geography.
