The development of this scientific article, carried out within the scope of the graduate program in Teaching and Practice of History Education, aims to understand the construction of memory through authors who, in their works, analyze the historical subject, time, and history, viewing them as constitutive elements of the historical narrative itself. In this sense, the study seeks to explore the relationship between memory and the teaching of History. The relevance of this work lies in the analysis of methodological development that promotes a History education focused on memory, considering its application in the classroom, the appreciation of everyday life, and the processes that involve the subject and their memory. Furthermore, it discusses how textbooks address the construction of historical memory, as well as the documents and sources used in teaching.
