This study made a preliminary diagnostic, identify groundwater risk contamination from necroleachate in two cemeteries in Mossoró City-RN/Brazil. At first, we made a bibliographic collection about hydric contamination for necroleachate. After, we realized visits in loco to sanitary control systematic observation on cemeteries São Sebastião e Novo Tempo, and data collection to quantify effluent generated. As of lithological profiles of wells situated in studies areas, the results showed a bad conservation of vaults and inadequate management of necroleachate in both cemeteries. In addition, hydrogeology of the áreas is carstic-fissures and freatic level is between 8,5 and 15 m, it can be represents risk of contamination for 2.220 and 2.400 L/month of necroleachate, generated in São Sebastião and Novo Tempo cemeteries, respectively.
