The aim of this paper is to verify if the presence of the internet in Brazilian municipalities has effects on the labor market in the arts sector. We estimate, through Mincer's regression, the sector's wages and formal employment in each Brazilian microregion in 2000 and 2010. A log level regression estimates the effect of the internet presence on the growth rate of incomes and formal jobs. The results indicate that the presence of the internet in the municipalities has positive and significant effects, albeit of low magnitude, on the labor Market in arts. The effects on the growth of formal employment are greater for women.
