Abstract

Health education actions that are well-planned and executed can transform social behaviors and contribute to improve health. This report aimed to present the experiences of undergraduate nursing students in the planning and execution of educational actions in health compared between a State School and a National Reference Center. Two distinct approaches were planned and carried out, in different places, based on Faria, Campos e Santos (2018). In the first approach, the relevance of a healthy lifestyle to strengthening the immune system was highlighted. In the second approach, adequate body hygiene proved to be crucial in promoting health, well-being, and quality of life. We concluded that nursing students can teach and learn in different spaces with different audiences. For this, a good action plan is necessary, as it guides the development of educational action. We believe that the action contributed to building public knowledge about healthy eating and proper personal hygiene habits, and we have learned our role as a social agent of change.
