Abstract

At the present time, confronting the contradictory discourses of equality, autonomy and otherness that exist in gender relations in the academic space is a challenge. I took as a starting point the “speech act” from the concept “figurations of survival”, which the reports of Primo Levi (1944), a Jew deported to Auschwitz in 1944, testified to his experience and that of an “other” who cannot narrate. In this text, by focusing on the complaints and narratives of students facing situations of harassment and physical violence, it was possible to break the idea of a totality, confirming that individuals are inseparable from social ties and at the same time resulting from a grouping of its members, but without losing the individuality of telling, feeling and revealing. The permanence of conditions of subalternity and silencing, in the case of women, still expose the hierarchical relationships of gender, power, race and sexuality that highlight the self-configurations of distinct existences. In university institutions, a rigid, mechanical structure is maintained, shaped by the heteronormative, racist and LGBTQIA+phobic conception guaranteed by the State, which delegitimizes other forms of Being and Existing. Research on Gender Violence on university campuses allows us to observe the multiple and distinct experiences, the “place of speech” of subjects, subjects and subjects through orality and memory as a methodology that allows recording “complaints and “complaints” and review subjective meanings and presences from a decolonial perspective.
