In this article the central question is to discuss the underlying aspects of the torrid romance lived by Abelardo and Heloísa, during the end of the XII century in Paris, a period of extreme spiritual appreciation and body surveillance, in which the woman was considered weak, needy and submissive; while the man, the one who commands.
