Abstract

This article aims to analyze sentimental and emotional structures in four short stories by Conceição Evaristo. We observe that most of these are triggered by gender relations, racism and poverty. The author reveals the breadth of the human horizon, when she contextualizes characters that have been excluded from the world of letters, or portrayed in a pejorative way.
