This research aims to critically analyze the discursive production of two northeastern writers, namely: Rachel de Queiroz and Heleusa Câmara. Specifically, it seeks to find out how three female characters in the works of these authors deal with romantic love, if any of them rejects, criticizes, or has it as their life objective.
