Abstract

Studies about women and their advancement in society have been expanding since the beginning of the twenty-first century. Considering this advance of academic production that considers women as the main theme, the present research sought to develop a bibliometric and sociometric study using as a basis the scientific articles available on the electronic platform SPELL as a way to identify which “looks” are being targeted for women as a research topic. The results show, in general, that the national scientific production on the topic “woman/s” is carried out mainly by women (68.5%); written in Portuguese (93.2%), and few published scientific articles (9%) in the electronic platform that address issues related to women's work, revealing the lack of academic studies in the Management's knowledge area.
