The prostate cancer occurs, specifically, in men, and due to the increase in life expectancy, its incidence has increased. These patients moved from their regions, to look for care and health support, to places that are considered cancer care centers. The purpose of this study is to verify the prevalence of prostate cancer in patients attending in the macro-region of North of Minas Gerais in the period from 2017 to 2020. We question whether the wear and tear caused by displacement can impact the treatment. The research is quantitative and exploratory, based on a literature review. The adopted mapping typology classifies flows according to the number of prostate cancer cases. The disease’s impact on the person and the need to maintain ties with health services can force the patient to move, even temporarily, to macro-regions, causing ruptures in social support networks.
