Ornithophagy in Rhinella icterica

Abstract

Here we report an observation of a predation event on Certhiaxis cinnamomeus by Rhinella icterica occurred in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. So far, we do not have any knowledge of a similar case related for this species in the literature. Thus, we believe this is the first record of this kind of predation for R. icterica.
