This study aims to analyze the rhetorical-discursive behavior of the constitutive hyperlinks of a digital news published in the online magazine Galileu about COVID-19, based on the postulates of the Digital Discourse Analysis (DDA), proposed by Marie-Anne Paveau, and from the studies of the Rhetorical Structure Theory (RST), developed by W. Mann and S. Thompson. In order to do so, hyperlinks are examined according to the technodiscursive category of non-linear reading (ADD), as well as from the rhetorical relations (RST) that emerge between the source and the destination text through the hyperlink. The analyzes show that the textual producer chooses to delineate, through hyperlinks, the syntagmatic, enunciative and discursive threads of his text, in a markedly visual way, to exert rhetorical effects on the writer, such as, for example: bringing credibility to the information published, increasing the ability to understand the information, detailing the information and, ultimately, inducing the reading of other texts published in the same journal. It is a culture of evidence linked to the technodiscursive genre of scientific dissemination news.
