Abstract

This article aims to present how Cartographic Discourse Analysis has been increasingly used in the field of Engineering, based on the premise that there is no society without language. Theoretically, it draws on the concepts of discursive practice and interdiscourse, and methodologically, it relies on the notion of cartography, promoting a transdisciplinary approach when considering the production of texts and research in the academic world. In this context, the clues presented in the work *Clues to the Cartographic Method* serve as analytical and corpus production tools, fostering cartography as a necessary methodological perspective when considering intervention research. The analyses show how concepts from discourse analysis and cartography contribute to the production of subjectivities in the classroom and can extend beyond Literature and Psychology. As a result, the presented statements point to the need for transdisciplinary research, prioritizing the individual as a social and political being facing contemporary challenges. Therefore, for the production of academic texts, whose research object permeates the researcher's body, it is necessary to consider cartography as "lines of flight" that promote, through micropolitics, a change to methodological tradition.
