In this interview, the French historian, Roger Chartier, presents two aspects of his research work: i) a brief overview of the History of written culture in the West, and the impact of the emergence of new digital technologies for the written and editorial production of texts and their reception; ii) and the specificity of History, as a discipline, and the truth value of their narratives.
