Abstract

Review of the book “Introdução à Teoria Econômica de John Rogers Commons”, written by Sebastião Neto Ribeiro Guedes and published in 2019 by the publisher Appris (Curitiba). The work of Guedes, who is an associate professor at the Department of Economics at the São Paulo State University (Unesp) - Araraquara Campus, represents a pioneering work in Portuguese dedicated to the study of John R. Commons’ institutionalist thought and its place in the history of economic thought.
