Abstract

The article analyzes the manufacturing sector of the mesoregion of Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba (TMAP), regarding its profile and economic importance. The study is based on literature review and data from Rais, highlighting employment indicators in the period 2006-2016. The results highlight the dynamic role of manufacturing in the region’s economic development and the relatively satisfactory performance in recent years, compared to the state and country.
