GEOMORPHOLOGY TEACHING IN BASIC EDUCATION FROM THE STUDENT'S DAILY LIFE AND THE USE OF DIGITAL TOOLS AS DIDACTIC RESOURCE

Abstract

This article aims to present a proposal of geomorphology teaching in geography classes of basic education from the daily life of the student, using equipment and programs of representation of the geographical space, such as the computer and the software "Google Earth", putting into effect the teaching-learning process of a fairly abstract content because it is embossed shapes that are often far from the student's local reality. It has been proposed to work with students of the sixth Year of elementary school II at Municipal School Odilon Custódio Pereira, in the urban perimeter of Uberlândia-MG, because it is a school whose streets and avenues of the neighborhood in which it is leased has names of plateaus, uplands, among other geomorphological shapes of Brazil and abroad, approaching the students daily lives to the complexity of the forms of relief from distant places. The results prove the efficiency of digital tools as essential instructional resources for issues that require more complex abstractions and difficult to view on the part of students, in addition to promoting new working methodologies for teaching in the classroom.
