STATE OF THE ART OF SURVEYS ON THE NATIONAL COMMUNAL CURRICULUM BASE OF GEOGRAPHY IN HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION (2019/2021)

The latest version of the National Communal Curriculum Base (BNCC) was published three years ago, but the process of its drafting has been an ongoing process for six years. Until now, many theses and essays on the subject were defended and this paper categorizes them. Based on the recent reform of High School Education (2017), we have prioritized surveys focusing on this level of Primary Education. This is a qualitative study, and therefore we have relied on the survey of documents. To attend our aim, we have consulted two specific archives for essays and dissertations: 1) Brazilian Digital Library of Essays and Dissertations; 2) Catalogue for Essays and Dissertations by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). We have gathered 63 dissertations and essays and have grouped them into ten categories. This survey repository clarifies the debate and suggests paths for further research on teachers’ formation, innovative methods, student evaluations and review of educational material.
