Developing skills through indissosiability between teaching, research and extension

the experience of “Vivência em Gestão”

Abstract

The inseparability between teaching, research and extension generates an expanded and integrated academic formation, so necessary to achieve new models and forms of management that emerge in contemporary society. For this reason, this study aims to identify the contribution of the curricular component called Vivência em Gestão in the development of the skills provided in the pedagogical project of courses in the management area of ​​the University of Vale do Taquari. The literature review includes a look at social skills and the contributions of teaching, research and university extension to the development of knowledge. The development of the article also presents the description of that experience. The data were collected through applied research, composed by students and managers of incubated companies. To achieve the proposed objective, the research used quantitative and qualitative approaches. In the analysis of the data, the results show that the three sets of practical activities carried out in the curricular component contributed significantly to the personal, professional and academic development of the participants. Thus, the strategic vision, empathy and interpersonal relationships and team building were pointed out by the students as the most developed skills during the vivência em gestão. Likewise, there were relevant student contributions to the companies involved in the study, especially in the management of the financial and logistics areas.
