Challenges of extension for the university community
the first year of “Welcoming Ombudsman” project for cases of aggression and discrimination of gender at the Federal University of Uberlândia, State of Minas Gerais

The purpose of the “Acolhidas Ouvidoria” extension project is to provide legal and psychological counseling to women victims of harassment (moral or sexual), gender discrimination and gender violence at the Federal University of Uberlândia, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This report aims to put into the agenda the achievements, as well as the difficulties faced during the development of the activities in the first year of the project existence. In addition, it will be discussed the field of action of the project, unusual for addressing the university community itself, placing it in the national university movement to combat gender aggression and discrimination in universities.
