A CONFIGURAÇÃO DA AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR NA FEIRA DO SINDICATO EM ITUIUTABA-MG

Family farming is linked to the family, land, and work, with its characteristics according to the region and locality. In this article, we intend to discuss the socioeconomic and cultural relations experienced by family farmers who sell their produce at an open market in the city of Ituiutaba-MG, idealized by the rural workers union in the municipality, popularly known as the "Union Trade Fair". Thus, the aim is to understand the importance of the fair for these farmers and the municipality of Ituiutaba-MG. To achieve the proposed objectives, bibliographic research was carried out on family farming in Brazil and on open markets, data collection from a primary source, with interviews with the union president and market traders, exposing their experiences from this workspace. Based on the arguments presented by the interviewees, in line with the theorizing of researchers, who deal with the subject, we have elaborated this article.
