AVALIAÇÃO DO DESEMPENHO DO ÍNDICE ∆NBR PARA A IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE ÁREAS INCENDIADAS NA MICRORREGIÃO DE UBERABA, MG

Abstract

In Brazil, the occurrence of burnings in rural areas is common, highlighting the loss of vegetation and in some cases economic losses, the latter being generally associated with agriculture. Thus, the objective of this work is to map the burned areas in the Microregion of Uberaba by remote sensing and to evaluate the accuracy of the ∆NBR index between 03 august and 12 september 2017. Sentinel-2A satellite imagery we reused by MSI sensor and the accuracy of the results was evaluated by applying the Kappa index. The application and verification of the indexes are effective for the purpose as results. The procedures generated essential data for the study of the event as the index performance and being evaluated with 55.2% accuracy.
