The evolution of agriculture in the world: from genesis to current days

Abstract

The term agriculture is related to the art of cultivating the fields, demonstrating also the issues of work and the practices / techniques used to obtain agricultural products. It should be noted that the process of agricultural transformation was initially linked to the evolution of man over time. In this sense, the central objective of this research was to discuss the history of agriculture in the world according to the most relevant historical periods for agriculture, highlighting how the agricultural evolution was delineated in those dates, relating to the changes in agricultural practices. For this, a bibliographic review was carried out on the theme for the consolidation of the understanding of this work. Finally, this article is structured in five historical parts: Neolithic (8,000 BC up to 5,000 BC), Old Age (4,000 BC to 476), Middle Ages (476 to 1453) , Modern Age (1453 to 1789), Contemporary Age (from 1789).
