This article discusses about the ways of seeing for the landscape study of the cities and how the way of looking allows the comprehension of distortions that the capitalist production creates. The reflexion starts with the role of seeing, the role of the eye, and other concepts that helps understand how the image and the city drawing configure in a capitalist state. Thereafter, it is discussed the role of the landscape as a geographical category for the study of the contemporary city and how the capital modifies the image of the city and mutates into a mirror of the capital reproduction, resulting in destruction and reconstruction of the cities according to the new elements that are being developed to implement new ways of capital reproduction.
