AVALIAÇÃO DE RUÍDO AMBIENTAL NA ÁREA CENTRAL DE MONTES CLAROS/MG

Abstract

The present study discusses the theme of noise pollution, focusing on noise levels produced in the central area of Montes Claros/MG. This is a relevant subject, given the possible impacts of excessive noise on the population living and working in urban centers. In this sense, this proposal questions: what are the conditions of the noises captured in different points of the central area of the urban perimeter of Montes Claros? Are they harmful to the urban population? The general purpose that guides it refers in evaluating environmental noises identified in the central area of Montes Claros/MG, having as principle the conservation of the environment and the preservation of the quality of life of the community in order to attend the current legislation and the Brazilian Norm - NBR 10151/2019. Being employed as methodology the gauging in loco, according to the orientations of the cited Technical Norm. The results suggest the necessity of mitigating measures of the found noise levels.
