Os "anos douradosâ€?: memória e hegemonia

Abstract

Este texto parte de uma indagação sobre os anos 50 no Brasil, que nos faz refletir sobre a relação entre história e memória: como entender o movimento constante de trazer, para o presente, referências sobre Juscelino Kubitscheck e os "anos douradosâ€?? Dos pronunciamentos políticos aos trabalhos acadêmicos, das homenagens à preservação de documentos pelos arquivos, a memória celebrativa tem ajudado a preservar a memória hegemônica sobre o período. Nas narrativas orais, como os depoimentos gravados pelo APDF, é possível buscar outras histórias nas muitas memórias daqueles que viveram a fase da construção da nova capital e ainda hoje habitam a cidade.

ABSTRACT

The present work starts from a question about the fifties in Brazil, which causes us to reflect on the relation between history and memory: how to understand the constant movement of fetching to the present references of Juscelino Kubitscheck and the "golden years�? From political pronouncements to academic work, from honors to the preservation of documents by the record office, the celebrative memory has helped preserve the hegemonic memory about that period. In oral narratives, as the testimonies recorded by APDF, it's possible to bring up other stories in the bulk of memories of those who lived the period when the new capital was being built and still today inhabit the city.
