The present analysis of the judgment in the contentious case Brítez Arce y otros v. Argentina, issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and published on January 18, 2023, aims to unveil obstetric violence, a term expressly adopted for the first time in the Court's jurisprudence. Faced with the accountability of the Argentine State, we sought to explore obstetric violence, its institutionalization and its relationship with other categories such as gender violence and intersectionality, in defense of an inter-American feminism.
