War Crimes and its Environmental Consequences in the Light of the African Regional Human Rights System

The intention of this scientific article is to present the systematic for the protection of human rights within the scope of the International Criminal Court under a chronological outline that includes the jurisdictional bodies created throughout the 20th century to judge international crimes (genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and international aggression), as well as to relate this factual-normative framework to the environmental damage caused in the surroundings of the territories in which international crimes were committed, highlighting the geographical profile of the Central African ethnic conflicts and the role of the African Union as a relevant international organization for a plural, universal and cosmopolitan hermeneutics of Human Rights Law.
