Abstract

This article analyzes the divergent dynamics between cooperative banks and commercial banks in relation to the basic interest rate. Contrary to the trend of commercial banks, cooperative banks recorded negative impacts on their results due to fluctuations in the basic interest rate. However, surprisingly, cooperative banks demonstrated more robust growth amidst these adverse circumstances. The research investigates the elements underlying this resilience, highlighting the unique strategies and cooperative values that drive the expansion of these financial institutions. The findings highlight the ability of cooperative banks to thrive even in challenging scenarios, highlighting their relevance within the broader banking and economic landscape.
