Gênero e memória de mulheres desterritorializadas

Resumo

Este artigo aborda as memórias de mulheres desterritorializadas pela construção da Usina Hidrelétrica Luís Eduardo Magalhães, no Rio Tocantins (TO), especificamente das mulheres do antigo povoado de Pinheirópolis, município de Porto Nacional (TO). Meu objetivo é analisar as narrativas dessas mulheres e, através de suas memórias, refletir sobre os papéis de gênero que perpassam suas falas. Como metodologia, utilizamos a história oral, por entender que é uma ferramenta que permite identificar as principais mudanças nessas comunidades que viviam às margens do Rio Tocantins antes da formação do lago.

ABSTRACT

This article is about the memory of women who were forced out of their living territory due to the construction of the Luís Eduardo Magalhães hydroelectrical dam in the Tocantins river, especially those that lived in Pinheirópolis Village, county of Porto Nacional, Tocantins. The objective of this study is to analyze these women's narratives and, based on their memories, reflect upon the gender roles that are implicit in their conversations and statements. As a methodological resource we used oral history, once we understand it is a tool that allows us to identify the main changes in those communities who lived along the banks of the Tocantins river before the formation of the lake.
