This article aims to analyze the female representations in Memorial de Maria Moura, by Rachel de Queiroz. The book was launched in 1992 and focuses in the narrative of Maria Moura, who is a character of XIX century. The text presents different narrative voices, Maria Moura and Marialva, who are the main characters among these different voices, become the most significant. In order to analyze this voices and female figures, it is used the support of the Imaginary theories to unveil the multiple meanings of the female representation.
