The historical influence of religiosity in the daily life of Brazilian society is perceived in several aspects, among them, in the participation in religious cults. This religious participation stems from freedom of worship, a postulate of the principle of religious freedom, a fundamental right in Brazilian republican constitutionalism. The study will analyze the problem of guaranteeing the freedom of worship of people with physical disabilities in relation to the ritualistic and architectural preservation of religious temples. The research uses the theoretical-bibliographic method, with use of national and foreign doctrine, as well as that related to the thematic. Regarding the methodological procedure, the deductive method was chosen, starting from a macro conception for a microanalytical conception, allowing, therefore, the delimitation of the theoretical problem. The study concludes that religious freedom hurts the absence of physical accessibility (of religious temples) for people with physical disabilities, and it is necessary to reconcile the ritualistic and architectural preservation of religious temples with the effective accessibility for people with physical disabilities.
