As a branch of legal science aimed at regulating human relations arising from the techniques of manipulating life, knowledge of biolaw is essential for the realization of justice in any State based on democracy, plurality and the defense of fundamental rights. For this reason, the dossier now presented to the academic community and civil society fulfills its social function in the sense of broadening the contemporary debate on the fundamental right to life.
