an Analysis of Dysthanasia from the Perspective of Human Rights, Bioethics and Psychoanalysis

This paper intends to analyse the ethical consequences of dysthanasia as well as its implications on human psychology. Adopting an interdisciplinary study method, this paper used as its base fundamental rights and bioethical principles in conjunction with the pychoanalytical perspective on death and grief. This research was conducted by utilizing bibliografical method and law analysis. The end results presented dysthanasia as an ineffective practise in regard to ensuring a patients well-being. It was additionally considered as an outmoded practise, incongruous to the most advanced techniques on the medical and psychologycal field. In conclusion, it was determined that dysthanasya culminates on a prolongation of the patient’s suffering by extending their death process.
