Abstract

The work aims to demonstrate the power that Brazil has to encourage countries belonging to MERCOSUR to adopt in their national actions and goals of international receptivity the reception of girls and women persecuted for Female Genital Mutilation. This is because Brazil, through CONARE, approved the recognition of refugee women coming from contexts of female genital mutilation, therefore, based on this action, it will be able to extrapolate the commitment already assumed and, furthermore, undertake to encourage nations of block to engage in this mission to eradicate FGM, as well as defending the fight against gender. For the logical construction of the idea created, manuals, laws, jurisprudence, information on government websites and scientific articles were used as a research subsidy.

  • Francisco Meton Marques de Lima , UFPI

    GRADUADO em Direito pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1981), MESTRE em Direito e Desenvolvimento pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1987) e DOUTOR em Direito Constitucional pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2001). Fui Prof. Assistente de Direito Comercial da UFC (1987 a 1990). Atualmente é professor Titular da Universidade Federal do Piauí. Integra o PPGD da UFPI. Elaborou os projetos que resultaram na criação do Tribunal Regional da 22ª Região, Procuradoria Regional do Trabalho e 10 Varas do Trabalho no Estado do Piauí. Tem experiência na área de Direito Constitucional, Direito do Trabalho, Direito Processual do Trabalho. Teoria dos Valores, Princípios do Direito, Hermenêutica e Filosofia, com ênfase em Filosofia do Direito, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Direito do Trabalho, Princípios do Direito do Trabalho, Hermenêutica Constitucional, Teoria dos Valores e Filosofia do Direito.
