MAGNETO-OPTICAL TRANSITIONS IN A SINGLE DILUTED MAGNETIC SEMICONDUCTOR QUANTUM DOT
Abstract
In this work it was explored how the exchange interaction affects the electronic structure of diluted magnetic semiconductor quantum dot and hence the magneto-absorption spectrum and the g-factor. The model used to perform the calculation was based on 8×8 k. p Kane Hamiltonian, allowing the inclusion of the conduction-valence-band coupling, and allows to study the set of symmetries associated with these electronic states and effects magnetic field. The results presented here are for a semi-spherical quantum dot of Cd1-xMnxTe. Keywords: diluted magnetic semiconductor quantum dot, exchange interaction, k.p Hamiltonian, magneto-absorption, g-factor.Downloads
